My professional affiliations — the organizations I belong to, work with, or draw my beekeeping roots from — in Norway and in the Czech Republic.
Beekeeping is a community. These are my affiliations — the organizations I belong to, work with, or draw my beekeeping roots from — both in Norway, where I keep bees today, and in the Czech Republic, where my roots lie.
Norges Birøkterlag
Norway
The Norwegian Beekeepers' Association is the national federation for beekeepers in Norway. As a member, I am part of a nationwide professional community promoting good beekeeping, bee health and knowledge-sharing.

About this courseNorsk Sau og Geit (NSG)
Norway
Why is a beekeeper in a sheep and goat association? Because robotic mowers are creating sterile green deserts in our cities, destroying insect habitats. My vision is to replace these plastic robots with autonomous biological agents — sheep and goats guided by virtual GPS collars (like the Norwegian NoFence system). Grazing animals manage the overgrowth naturally, fertilize the soil, and crucially, let the wildflowers bloom. Without grazing, the landscape either overgrows or is mowed to death, leaving no food for our bees.

Basic Organization of the Czech Beekeepers' Association, Boskovice
Boskovice, Czech Republic
The local beekeeping community in Boskovice is where my beekeeping roots lie. I learned there from Mr. Josef Stejskal, who was a member of this Boskovice organization. It was at a meeting here that I first heard doc. Přidal lecture on varroa — the meeting that drew me into academic beekeeping. I live in Norway today, so my current membership is with Norges Birøkterlag.
